I am trying to setup my pfsense box to have it's wan interface in PPPoE bridged mode to my VDSL router (Ive configured my router to work in RFC1483 bridge mode). The pfsense PPPoE configuration caters for credentials, but there is no field to fill in something required by my isp: the VLAN of the broadband connection.

Is it possible to enter the VLAN information somewhere?

You have to create a vlan in Interfaces/Interface Assignments /VLANs an tie the created vlan (with the ID that your ISP needs) to the physical network interface where the modem is connected. Then assign the pppoe to the new created vlan.

          Kind regards and fine sunday,

Thank you both for your suggestions, I've been away so I didn't have time to test. I'll try both approaches (believe the one suggested by @fireodo will do the trick).
