Or, at the least - issuing a warning of using said provider. Yet, my Netgate Forum account is that of one belonging to a protonmail account.

@discarn8 Hey men, I had the same problem, exactly the same problem, my solution was reinstall pfsense usb via front.
This allowed everything to work perfectly.
