DNS Resolver problems 2.5.0 (Solved)
-
Hi folks,
I have a problem with 2.5.0. DNS doesn't always resolve having to refresh websites quite a few times then finally loads some websites are not accessible at all. I noticed when this happen the LAGG interface isn't passing packets on all of the 4 Ports only on 2 Ports rebooting fixes the problem for a week or 2 then starts acting up again. Any ideas?
Thanks.

@noplan Hi, Im using DNS Resolver no DNS Forwarder. pfBlockerNG is also being used as well as snort disabling pfblockerng and Snort didnt solve the problem but i found a thread online that shows to manually update DNS Resolver which has seemed to fixed the problem so far. I wish i would of stayed at 2.4.5.
In CLI i run the following and restart DNS Resolver,
pkg upgrade -fy unbound; pfSsh.php playback svc restart unbound
Mar 11 00:56:55 pkg 63764 unbound upgraded: 1.13.0_2 -> 1.13.1

@noplan Hi, Sorry for a late reply i have been a bit busy today, so the problem was certain websites wasn't resolving had to refresh the page a few times for it to load but three.co.uk would not load completely but on my phone it would then wouldn't but the IP my Firewall and Workstation resolves too is totally different than my phone resolves too but problem seems to be with three than my Firewall. Since updating Unbound problems are solved but three website is still kinda broken. I think its time i change mobile phone carriers because this network has always had problems.
Where do i mark as (solved) ?
Update, Don't worry i've just found the way to mark it.
Thanks.
Jack.
