Well it's my first try to install this software on P3 EB800Mhz, VIA chipset, using 2 identical NICs(Intel Pro/1000GT), and I can't ping PC that's connected to router box, I can't ping random host from this box, nor PC can't ping the box.Constantly getting message "em0 Watchdog timed out resetting" as well, checked documentation and NIC is supported.Tried swapping NICs, still the same problem. Any ideas?

Have you tried a pfSense 1.2.3 snapshot build? A number of people have found the hardware support in the 1.2.3 snapshot builds much better than in earlier versions.
The 1.2.3 snapshot builds can be found in http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_7_2/pfSense_RELENG_1_2/?C=M;O=D

You could download an install kit from the livecd_installer directory or an appropriate firmware update from the updates directory.

I was also trying RC 1.2.3 also, would the one you mentioned be the same?

1.2.3-RC1 is FreeBSD 7.1, current snapshots that wallabybob pointed you to are 7.2, which might be better.

other things to try are upgrading your BIOS, and setting PNP OS in your BIOS to "no" if such a thing exists.

It's chaintech 6ATA4 Via Apollo Pro 133A chipset mobo, I've tried PFsense version you mentioned and problem is still there. BIOS on motherboard was updated.Which part is there to blame - motherboard or Intel NICs?

Its not clear to me that you have tried a recent pfSense 1.2.3 snapshot build. Have you?

Well I've tried different NICs, problem is still there. Tried to install pfsense using the same CD on P45 mobo, works fine, tried installing Freenas on the same PC that didn't work with pfsense, Freenas installs just fine. I guess Pfsense doesn't support this mobo..
