      hi folks,

some years ago I bought a linksys open source router and applied ddwrt on it. the router seems to die very soon and I want to replace it.

so I checked DD wrt website and it seems very outdated.

is the time for such firmware on routers over?
what does the pf sense guy uses at home?
any idea for a physical device with very low power, wifi 5ghz and latest standard (ax and WPA3-enterprise) and min 4x 1GBE ports

purpose is only to act as a switch and to provide wifi with focus on security patches and long lifetime. to have options for advanced configuration is a plus.

      appreciate an open discussion :-)
