      Hi all,

As I migrate away from my old Cisco gear to PFSENSE, I've got a question on how to configure a feature that I had with my old gear/design.

I have 2 ISP's, that are both PPPOE authenticated, with routed subnets to them. Ignoring my servers etc that I have which are set up on their own configuration for incoming traffic, when I had my cisco gear I had HSRP set up on the lan side with some trackers to check to see if each box had internet. My Lan workstations default gateway was the HSRP VIP. So if one ISP failed or one box failed they would flip over to the other connection.

Now moving to PFSENSE I have both boxes replaced and up and running, the only piece I'm missing is that internal internet redundancy. Is there any way to achieve this with PFSENSE ?

HA and CARP sounds right but from what I read its not intended to be done this way. Gateway groups seem to also be a possible solution, but they seem to be intended for multiple gateways on the same physical box, not across 2 boxes ?

      thus my question.

Thanks in advance for any replies/comments/suggestions.
