I have recently (March 09,2021) noticed these messages in my logs. I usually do not check dhcp logs because it just works. Curiosity got me looking in this past week.

There are a bunch of these types of messages seemingly for devices that are statically assign based on mac address.

My question, is could this be happening because those devices connected before I had setup static assignments and these were the IP address they were given the first time the device connected after say a major upgrade PFSense or a PFSense system reinstall?

Also, I find the corresponding entries for the duplicated instances in my dhcp.leases and dhcp.leases~ files and the active dhcp.lease file that is currently loaded into memory (dhcpd.leases.1615913179).

My other question is can I make these messages go away by simply deleting the entries from the dhcp.leases/dhcp.leases~ files and rebooting?

OR will they return when the client devices reconnect and request a certain IP but are assigned the statically mapped one?

Should I ignore the messages? (They're SO messy:-)

      Thank You,
