Can anyone recommend a 4G/LTE Modem Router for use with pfSense?

@balanga I had been looking at Huawei's 5G, and waiting for the price drop (we would have had it if the passed idiot in charge wouldn't have started a trade war nonsense and huge tariff). Meanwhile, I am looking at their 4G/LTE version but might wait for 5G.

@balanga I use a Mikrotik LTaP LTE6 and have had great success with it. Get great speeds even while routing all my network traffic over a Wireguard VPN connection to New York from the Middle East. Before anyone gasps, I'm not running the Wireguard that was included in pfsense 21.02. LTaP is a very capable device, can be put into passthrough mode, and has an agreeable price as well.

It seems like we have been down this road several times before @Balanga.

The advice is still the same. Use an external 3G/4G Ethernet connected modem for best speed and least hassle. For example the Netgear LB1120 has good reports here.

Thechnologies change so I thought there may be something new which everyone was jumping on.
