      Hi all,

Today I experienced big troubles, with someting that seemed easy to me. I need to connect a pfSense ALIX firewall (for my client) behind a speedtouch modem shared by 2 companies (one is my client). The speedtouch has a static ip configured for pfSense to allow hosting of sites en email. The LAN users need internet access.

I tested it first using a laptop. With IP 10.0.2.239 and Gateway 10.0.2.138 everything works fine.

When I connect pfSense with static WAN IP 10.0.2.239 and Gateway 10.0.2.138 it is not working. No internet access from LAN (no route to host). I do see trafic on the WAN interface however. Further research on the routing table reveals that there is no default route and no gateway.

What could be wrong? Did I forget something? Does pfSense 1.2.2 has a bug with static WAN configuration? Isn't it possible to place pfsense behind a speedtouch modem that is not in bridging mode?

Please help, my client has to move their servers out of the other building by the 1st  of juli  :o.

      Regards,
      Joost.
