Slow Internet
-
Hey guys, I need help. My pfsense setup slows down the internet to a point where we cant load webpages anymore unless we wait for 1-2 mins. I've tried everything. i've alst checked all 3 boxes of the offloading. Its worse when there are 100+ clients connected but gets better when only 10 are connected. But even so if 10 clients are connected we still wait about 10-20 secs of load time. I tried connecting my laptop directy to the upstream and the webpages load instantly. Its not a CPU or RAM issue since CPU load averages at 12% and ram usage at 21%. Not sure what to do now.

I forgot to add the interfaces also negotiates the interfaces properly.

I think I figured it out. not sure if my theory is valid. I think that my upstream provider is exhausting all the ports available for the downstream users. Since the plan that i have is a shared plan in the area and i remember them saying that the fiber ports for this area has been filled up. Not sure if this really happens, hope to see if anyone can say that this is possible.

????
I have never heard of anything like that. Fibre has an incredible amount of bandwidth and the equipment connected to it shouldn't be doing anything like that. What happens if you connect a computer directly, without going through pfsense? What does speedtest show? What does your ISP say?
