      Hello Community,

I have the following problem. I would like to use the PFSense as a firewall directly after the ISP. The problem here is that I don't want to run the DHCP server over the PFSense, but rather a MikroTik should do this. The PFSense should pull the requests coming from the WAN through the firewall and then pass them through to the MikroTik router, which then also manages the DHCP requests.

There would. I like to know how to set it up, because I haven't found anything about it yet.

      Thanks for the Help

I think, you're searching for something like that:
        DHCPv4 & DHCPv6 Relay

@viragomann Yes, I've seen that in the past, but it doesn't just work that way. I tried to set up a relay and specified the MikroTik there, but no connection was established. The PFSense could also no longer be accessed because the DHCP server was switched off there.

I used it in the past on 2.2.x, worked flawlessly.
However, you have to ensure that the DHCP scope on the server matches to the subnet which is configured on the pfSense interface.

As stated in the doc, DHCP server and DHCP relay usage is mutual exclusive.

Not just on 'a' LAN interface, but any LAN interface.
