      For some reason when assigning IPv6 through an openvpn tunnel it works however it has MTU problems, but went setting MTU on the client side to 1280 then it doesn't work at all anymore. Both IPv4 and IPv6 are assigned through the tunnel.

        I don't recall having to set MTU for the VPN. Are you doing something else that might affect that? Are you using UDP or TCP for the VPN?

          @jknott no not really, .. I've just setup a vpn server with tap interface, so I can do dynamic routing. I noticed that sometimes IPv6 is acting strangely, meaning some sites connect some don't, seems like an mtu problem, tried test-ipv6.net and it was confirmed they said something about mtu and pmtu or something, ..

            Sorry, I have never used TAP, but I can see problems in trying to bridge between networks.
