Problem regarding LAN–-plz help its really urgent
-
Hello Friends,
I am new to pfsense and i have installed pfsense in my office.I have done all the initial required configurations.
I have made 1 server through pfsense and setup LAN and WAN with its help. But LAN is not working properly.Server is only able to ping 1 computer out of all 11 computers connected in my LAN and on the contrary i can access internet on all my computers connected in LAN.
So kindly help me in this issue.
My basic setup configuration is lyk–--
----------
---------| Client 1 |
| ---------------------
| Router | ----------------| pfSense | -------------------| Client 2 |-----------
---------| Client 3
---------- etc.....An early reply is highly appreciated.

Since you say the 11 computers can get to the internet i very very much doubt that this is a problem with the pfSense.
I would check the config of your server again.
Is the IP configuration correct? Correct gateway, subnetmask, etc. -
First of all i am very thankful for ur reply.
Yes buddy all the configuration is correct I have checked dat many times.
Since all pc can access internet and 1 pc can access LAN but others do not.
actually i am using class A ip i.e. 50.50.50.1–>>allotted to server
so in all other pc default gateway i set as 50.50.50.1 and ip address i have entered manually in all other systems.and i used class A subnet mask i.e.255.0.0.0 and DNS server i entered as provided by my ISP.
plz nw u tell wat can be the prbm.Since 1 comp can access LAN.i am very mucgh confused dat y is it so????? -

Can you try to write in a readable manner?
You're making it hard not to scream while reading your text.Do you actually own the 50.0.0.0/8 subnet?
If not: Stop using it and move everything to the allowed RFC 1918 subnets. You're writing: "all pc can access internet and 1 pc can access LAN but others do not."
But that doesnt make much sense. Local access between computers in a LAN does not go over the firewall. This only involves the switch!
Did you actually make sure that you dont have a firewall on all these computers running? -
ok I am explaining everything from the beginning.
I have installed pfsense on 1 computer.I have set 2 interfaces there. One is LAN and there is WAN.So i have connected LAN interface to my switch(24 port) and WAN interface directly to the MODEM provided by my ISP.Now i have connected 11 pcs to the same switch.
Now 11 pcs are in LAN and 1 pc on which i have installed pfsense became my server.
I have configured server ip as 50.50.50.1 and rest i manually entered ip's to my 11 pcs that are connected in LAN.All the pcs in LAN can access internet. So everything is f9 till now.My problem is that those 10 pcs out of 11 in LAN cannot access each other. i.e.10 LAN pcs are able to ping the server but server is not able to ping those pcs.So those pc cannot communicate with each other.
and most importantly 10 pcs in LAN are able to access 11th pc in same LAN.
So i cant understand y is it so????
I want to make all other pcs in LAN access each other…-->>""Do you actually own the 50.0.0.0/8 subnet?
If not: Stop using it and move everything to the allowed RFC 1918 subnet""
and what do you mean by this .??? I am unable to get u buddy.....plz buddy help me.I will be relly thankful to you.

Stop using 50.x.x.x - you don't own the IP range
-
Use one of the IP ranges that are intended for such use - RFC1918. Three seconds with Google will get you information on what that means
-
If your server can't ping the PCs then it means the problem (if there is one) is with the individual PCs

Thanx buddy a lot.
Prbm was with my ip adress that I was using. Now after using RFC 1918 prbm get solved.
