1 TB M.2 SATA 2242 SSD?
-
I have the SG-2100 BASE pfSense+ Security Gateway with 4/8 GB, am I limited to 8 GB on this system or can I go has high as 1 to 2 TB?
I want to order one of these KingSpec M.2 SSD 2242

@nasheayahu The SG-2100 is certainly not limited to 8GB storage as it comes with an option for a 32 GB M.2 SATA 2242 SSD and the on-line docs have instructions how to fit a drive.
I don't know what the upper limit on drive capacity is.

Yup, that.
I'm not aware of any size limitation there but I don't think we have tested anything that big. There is nothing in pfSense that would require it really. Or even could use it.

Okay, I'll go ahead and give it a try and order the 1TB. I not know what happen that cause my Disk Usage to go 107%, but it happen as I was adding, loading and configuring pfBlockerNG and suricata. This was done on version 4.51 pfSense, I had to reinstall/upgrade the file system the other day.
To make a long story short, I got tired of the problems I was having with my CPU Build so I went back to the SG-2100, but I jump to the Build after the Over Usage.
Thanks for your replies!...

Oh, while I have your attention, where can I get help/tutorial configuring the SG-2100 to work with TL-R600VPN vlans? I have not found a tutorial so far that would show me how its done with this combo.

To be clear we tested 32GB and 64GB drives in the SG-2100. I know others have fitted 128GB and 256GB drives but we have not tested that. There's really no reason to have a 1TB drive there. You should never be using anything even approaching that much space.
When you exhaust the drive like that it's almost always because of logging from a package. Fitting a larger drive just takes longer to fill. The correct solution there is to find what is filling and re-configured the logging to prevent it doing so.

@stephenw10 Okay thanks, then I just order something up to 512GB.

A 32GB SSD is so much over:
-
@nocling How much of adding, loading and configuring of pfBlockerNG and suricata?
-
I don't use Suricata but pfBlockerNG-Dev Version with some List, TLD Blocking activ. But Suricata will use, up to 1GB, perhaps additonaly.
