      Hi,

I installed on a new server with 2 disks pfSense 2.5.1 ... but when I choose ZFS (like to have mirror) I get
gpart: geom 'ada0' operation not permitted

      I know this thread:
      https://forum.netgate.com/topic/122152/2-4-1-reinstall-zfs-mirror-geom-operation-not-permitted?_=1623850785265

but this are not working for me.

      When I choose the disks, I have my 2 HDD(ata0, ata1), the USB Stick(da0) and raid/r0 "Intel Raid1 Volume"

I try first the RAID option in BIOS of my Supermicro X11SSL-F Board .. but switch then back so AHCI

How can I use Raid 1?
      Thank you!

@unique24 Are you using the correct device name? Your first sentence says "...gpart: geom 'ada0' operation not permitted" but then later you say "...have my 2 HDD(ata0, ata1)" I'm hoping just a typo.

I would make sure the Intel Raid stuff is disabled in the BIOS. That means the chips on the motherboard are setting up the Raid and you don't have the control you want.

If you previously had a geom mirror on there you probably have to destroy it first.

But disable the hardware raid stuff first.
