Time to put my money where my mouth is!
-
So my employer recently updated our internet from a 20/20 line to a 100/100 line, and after years of dealing with a Sonicwall device, asked me for my input. The Executive Director then purchased an SG2100Max.
Now I have played with my own hardware, and pfSense for years, and you can find my various posts throughout the years in the forums.
Now it is looking like the boss wants me to set this device up, for production. It's one thing to tinker with on my personal network, and another to set one up for a real life environment. If my home network fails, I always have a backup plan, for wife approval.
Anyway, the network will run like this.
Internet, SG2100, Server(which currently handles DNS, DHCP, NTP and all of the Windows stuff), Switch, LAN(which has all of the hardwired computers and VoIP, printers, scanners) and a Guest WiFi(all of the BYOD, a printer or two) and that's it.
So now, after years of talking about pfSense, it's time for me to put my money where my mouth is.
