SG2100 - first netgate box - won't boot - 3 blinking blue lights
-
First ever Netgate box - changed password and set up DHCP and now won't boot? 3 blinking blue lights after 10 minutes. unplugged and plugged in again, same thing.
And here's what I'm looking at after connecting the serial cable via the instructions provided:

@survivalbloke Have you definitely set the console speed to 115200?
Quickest thing might be to get in touch with Netgate support. They offer free 'zero-to-ping' support on their products and are normally very responsive.

115200, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, flow control off or xon/xoff make sure hardware flow control is disabled.
I recall the first time I booted a new SG2100, it seemed to take a while to boot (felt like forever), but did eventually boot. 10 minutes should be long enough.

@bigsy Nice. This is my first Netgate appliance. I actually finally succeeded in hard-resetting it last night. It refused to reset my first 8 or so attempts. Something must have gotten botched in the boot config somewhere, total anomaly. It's up and running now. Thanks!

@survivalbloke I see you got past this, but did you find the reset video from the manual? It mentions the timing. Also, as I recall that resets the configuration file not a boot or file system problem.
I was going to ask if you installed an update? The slower (disk) routers can take up to 10 minutes to install an update and reboot depending on how involved the update is. I just updated my 2100 at home from 21.0.2 to 21.05 and I didn't time it but I'd guess it was 5-8 minutes or so. A normal reboot should be far quicker.

@steveits I did get it working. Honestly I have no idea what happened, but I was finally -after many attempts- able to convince it to hard reset. From there, I got it all set up again, and yes, I did install the update as well. Thank you.
