Is a support contract the only way to restore my SG-1100?
-
After an attempt to upgrade, my current serial output shows
>> FreeBSD EFI boot block Loader path: /boot/loader.efi Initializing modules: ZFS UFS Probing 4 block devices......* done ZFS found no pools UFS found 1 partition Failed to read size of '/boot/loader.efi' ino: 47430 Failed to load '/boot/loader.efi' panic: No bootable partitions found! ## Application terminated, r = -22
This page (https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-1100/reinstall-pfsense.html) states: open a support ticket to request access to the factory firmware by selecting Firmware Access as the General Problem and then select Netgate 1100 for the platform."
However, this seems to require a $399 annual support contract on a $179 device.
What are my options? Is the pfSense-CE-memstick-ADI-2.5.1-RELEASE-amd64.img from https://www.pfsense.org/download/ my best bet?
Thank you

@rliebenberg absolutely not. Just open a ticket and explain what’s going on. One of the menu drop downs should say something like firmware access or something to that extent. I do this with each new release and Netgate personnel frequently have a return email to me with a link to the file before I even get the confirmation email that my ticket has been received.

@gabacho4 This worked. Thank you. I was able to create an account and open a ticket. Link for download was provided. Now on to the actual restore. Thank you for your response.
