I have a XG-7100 that won't boot normally. When powered on and I connect via USB console, it displays an "ADI Engineering Rangeley Management Console, Version x2.00" with status on temps and volts.

      TEMP1: 023.07C CPU_ERROR2_N: 0 ▒
      ▒ V12A_I: 00253mA CPU_ERROR1_N: 0 ▒
      ▒ V12A_I_V: 00000mV CPU_ERROR0_N: 0 ▒
      ▒ V3P3A: 03303mV CPU_MCERR_N: 0 ▒
      ▒ V3P3: 00000mV CPU_IERR_N: 0 ▒
      ▒ V5A: 05056mV S5/S4: 0 ▒
      ▒ VNN: 00002mV S3: 0 ▒
      ▒ TEMP2: 019.07C PROCHOT_N: 1 ▒
      ▒ V12A: 12000mV THERMTRIP_N: 1 ▒
      ▒ VDDQ: 00000mV THERMTRIP_N LATCH: 1 ▒
      ▒ V1P0: 00000mV PORT80: 0 ▒
      ▒ VCCP: 00002mV ▒
      ▒ V3P3_10G: 00000mV

I believe the issue to be with the "Prochot_N: 1", "Thermtrip_N: 1", and "Thermtrip_N Latch: 1" fields, even though the processor doesn't seem to be getting hot.

      • Could this be behind the system not booting?
      • If so, is there a way to reset this without ordering a new unit?

Not likely with those two temperature values shown.

However that looks like an XG-2758 not an XG-7100 (which is not a Rangeley device).

There are two virtual console ports on that hardware and the main console is on the other one:
