I want to buy the Cisco 2960s series switch at www.Gracielit.com. But I'm puzzled that which one is more suitable for me between WS-C2960S-48LPD-L and WS-C2960S-48LPS-L? And what's the difference between them?

I seem to remember the LPS has a 370W PSU , meaning not able to do full PoE on all 48 ports.
        Witch is rarely used anyway

            Hmm PSU's are both 370W

Seems like the LPD has 2 x SFP+ ports

Edit:. You do know they have High-Pitched FANS in them ... I'd not like to be in same room as those

Do you have any specific reason for buying a Cisco , or even a PoE capable 48-port ?
            They suck power like ....

They do a fine job , but so does many other switches , even WO fans & a much nicer Mains power budget

I would like to mention, that the used 2960 have serious power supply problems.

              And look at this :

I haven't had any PSU issues w. my 2960X'es , but they are in a Clima Controlled Server room.
But i'd hate to be in the same room & pay the electricity bill.

But you could be right .. If the switch has already had ie. 5..7 years of 24/7 runtime , especially in a hot environment.
