      Hello,
Setting up pfSense for using openVPN and everything is working well with one exception. After adding a user and exporting the openvpn .exe file for that user the installer trips both Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warnings and warnings from our antivirus because the installer comes from an unknown publisher.

We are setting up TLS/SSL Cert from Let's Encrypt using ACME. However, on their website they state that they do not issue code signing certificates which I believe is what we would need to keep these warning from being triggered.

Once installed the there seems to be no issue and our test users can connect to the open VPN with no issue. But we would like to fix this problem before rolling out to all our employees. Obviously we don't want to create the habit in our employees of ignoring untrusted software warnings!

being new to pfSense I am wondering:

      1. Do others get these warnings when installing the openVPN install executables?

      2. Am I correct in thinking that this issue is because of the lack of a code signing certificate?

      3. Will setting up a Let's Encrypt Certificate using ACME have any effect on avoiding these earnings?

Would be great to hear from other pfSense/openVPN users how they have handles this issue for their employees.

      Thanks!
