      Hello.

We have a certain ::1 IPv6 as an IP on vLan on our Cisco switch as a router but our pfsense cant ping it and cisco cant ping the pfsense from that certain ip ::1 but if i add ::20 to the cisco it ping both ways and works

Also ::1 works fine from our secondary CARP pfsense.

We did have to flush our states a few times im thinking its stuck in ARP or something.

      Any ideas?

::1 is the loopback address, just like 127.0.0.1 with IPv4. If you ping that address, the ping won't leave the device you're on. For this sort of thing, you could use the link local address, if you don't have global or unique local addresses available. Link local addresses start with fe80:.

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
