Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right topic but I am running pfSense on KVM with Proxmox.

All the ports are gigabit aswell and I did a speedtest on the pfsense server and I am getting 700-800mbps download (normal my internet speed is 940 down and 35mbps up).

When I do a speedtest on my RPI or my computer my download speed is 400-500mbps instead of 700-800mbps.

My setup is like this: Modem -> Dell Optiplex Motherboard NIC -> 1 port nic -> TP-link gigabit switch and then an ethernet to my PC and RPI.

The specs on the machine are:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470T (2 cores and 2 threads, allocated 2 cores to the VM)
Ram: 20GB DDR3 (allocated 8gb to the vm)
And the network card is a Gigabit Dell Broadcom 1 Port NIC.

I have also plugged in my computer into the modem and I get 800-900mbps download. Upload is normal on pfsense and the modem since I have 35mbps up.

@cubebuilder You haven't mentioned whether you're running packages such as IDS/IPS ... are you?

Update: I have fixed the problem now, turns out I chose a bad speedtest server I am now getting 800-900mbps down by choosing a good speedtest server.
