I've been suffering a parse error on line 1671 so the only solution I thought of was to restore my device but I am for some reason blocked from making any tickets so that I can acquire and image from the help desk.

User blocked! No more tickets allowed for this user

An that line (what file ?) says ?
I presume it's your pfSense config file. Netgate can't give you that one.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

@gertjan It's in /etc/inc/system.inc, I just want the image so I can restore my switch to a different version. It's covered in this thread.

          https://forum.netgate.com/topic/165677/parsing-error-in-etc-inc-system-inc

But I am not knowledgeable on how to proceed with the commands like accessing the directories and such and changing the line unfortunately so installing a different version and reloading my config would be much easier.

            @jake83531

The other thread talks about a missing ";"

There was a syntax error in a commit yesterday,

which mean you are using what version ? The latest 2.6.0 ?? That's a 'dev' version, available for devs. 'dev' tend to be able to edit files.

The solution is marked in the thread you mentioned.

There is no firmware build for that one (as far as I know).

edit : still, you're probably right : go back to the latest stable firmware : 2.5.2.
If you do not use a Netgate device, just download the 2.5.2, burn it, install it and done.

@gertjan Yes, my issue is that I do use a Netgate device and the stable image is not publicly available unless I open a ticket unfortunately but I'm blocked for some reason from opening a ticket.

Most likely your email address domain is identifed as a spammer by the software protecting the support portal login. If you have say a gmail.com address, try that one. Or try creating an email there or at another one of the big players not likely to be on a blacklist.

Alternatively, you can wait and hope one of the Netgate employees that periodically circulates through new posts finds yours and contacts you via PM.

I have unblocked you. Please try again.

Unfortunately Protonmail often ends up on spam blocklists. I guess it's popular with spammers.

You can get past that by manually editing the file and adding back the ;s though if you need to. The current 21.09 and 2.6 snapshots are fixed.

Yep, your right - again ;)

edit : dono if Protonmail is actually know as a spammer ... (I doubt it). Other reasons ;)

The anonymous, privacy centric nature of Protonmail is always going to attract spammers unfortunately. And spam filters are far from perfect. That's just the trade-off you make.
