      Hi,

if you make a fresh install with 2.5.2 image and zfs filesystem and after a while you have to redo a reinstall, you cannot recover the config from the old install because the installer is looking for "zroot" but the pool is already on "pfSense". The installer gives up with error and it cannot find the config file.
PS. I discovered this in context of the "ZFS write amount" discussion when I made many fresh installations.

      Regards,

Good question, from my understanding it should be fixed in 2.5.2-RELEASE hmmm. 🤔

Anyway, I Re- downloaded the 2.5.2 Image from Netgate to be sure that I have a recent Image. Its not a "Big Deal" cause I have always a actual config file but if the recovery would work it would save some time ... 😏
