There is no difference between a laptop and desktop from pfSense's point of view.

I think we'll need more details here.

How are the laptops failing? How are you testing?

        Steve

Ok, so on laptops and desktops:
Clients get an IP address via DHCP?
When they try to open a website they are redirceted to the Captive Portal?
            They can login successfully?
After they login they still can't connect to a site?

Can they ping out? By IP address? By fqdn?

            Steve

*yea, client has ip address from DHCP
*yea (laptos-Desktop) show the Captive portal page after to conect the Wifi SSID and takes ip from DHCP
*the login is normaly, actualy I see the user on the Captive portal Status
*After pass the Captive portal, the status of Wifi is "conect" but can not see any web page like youtube, google, email, etc.
*the ping out does not responde.
              Thanks from Mexico.

                    Ping to 8.8.8.8?

                    Ping to google.com?

Ping to a local private IP?

At that point there's no significant difference between traffic from phones/tablets/TVs and from laptops. DNS is what I'd be checking. Some of those mobile devices may be using a hardcoded DNS server if nothing local is available and a laptop won't do that.

                      okok
                      ping from the desktop the
                      www.google.com do not response
8.8.8.8 response (I put dns on general Setup)
                      8.8.4.4 reponse
                      1.1.1.1 response
I have to make a Rule from DNS or put on the DHCP?
because before I configure the DNS on the DHCP service and the smartphone does not show the Cautive Portal page.

Captive portal clients need DNS before they authenticate because they have to resolve an IP address and try to connect out to be redirected to the login page.
The captive portal allows access the the pfSense interface address for that because that's the default DNS IP handed out by DHCP. If you set a different DNS server in DHCP you will need to allow access to that in the captive portal.

That must be working though because you're being redirected and are able to login.

Does it resolve google.com when you try to ping?
