Found a strange thing on the new snapshots:

After patching interfaces.inc due to the PPPOE-error i found out that to go online i have to do it with the connect-button in Service/interfaces to get online. Not a big clue.
So now when online, i loose completely the webinterface of pfsense. Navigating to the webinterface results in "not available". When my PPPOE-connection goes offline, the webgui is accessible again.

    edit:
the error seems to be associated with Gateway: I cannot apply the Gateway and editing Gateways results in that i can only change the Gateway from LAN to WAN, but there is no "save"-button nor anything else. Only the popup where i can change LAN/WAN.
