PS4 ip problem with failover
-
Hello,
I'm a network manager of a student residence.
And we just encountered a bug a bit surprising on the new generation PS4 (pro ect and also on the ps5).To sum up, the PS4 can't get an IP address from the DHCP server activated on our Pfsense. What is surprising is that this only happens when our second Pfsense which acts as a failover for the first is switched on.
We also have a captive portal via Pfsense but that is not the problem because when our second Pfsense is off the PS4 is able to connect to the portal. This bug only happens with new generation PS4's, other consoles or computers do not have this problem.
So if you have an idea of how to fix it I'm interested.
Good day to you

Hi,
It is likely to be more of a Sony PS issue (or config problem), if other devices work properly...
Just to clarify, are we talking about pfS HA?My son used to use PS4 PRO (when he was a kid - sorry ), but I haven't encountered this issue with on HA.
