Pfsense architecture VK series
-
Hello all!
I own a pfsense firewall it is a pfsense VK-T40E4-30gb.
I am having trouble installing openbsd on the hardware.
i am wondering what the actual architecture of the
firewall is. i have tried AMDX86 (64bit) aswell
as i386 (32 bit)when i boot either image on the hardware
it hangs basically right at the begining the last
thing it shows is: point of entry:
and then what i am assuming is an error code in hex.
i cant find anything about the hex code,
but have read its sometimes because of the wrong
architecture and that is why it hangs so early due to
errors right away.anyways any information that you think is helpful to my
problem is greatly appreciated.Thanks

It's x86-64. VK-T40E was our internal name for APU(1) sold through the pfSense store. The CPU is an AMD G-T40E. It's this: https://www.pcengines.ch/apu1d4.htm
I would certainly expect it to run OpenBSD if that's what you need. What's the actual error you see?
Does it still boot pfSense correctly? Try the memstick serial image:
