I have an issue where even though under the pfSense Diagnostics / CARP page it shows the backup appliance as MASTER for an IP address (and the primary shows BACKUP), the primary appliance is still the one responding to the IP, in fact if I reboot the primary appliance the IP stops responding, the backup appliance never takes the IP over and as soon as the primary is finished rebooting it responds again.

I checked https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/high-availability.html and not finding any issues based on that.

We've rebooted both appliances, with no change.

This happens on one VLAN, but not the other VLANs, yet I can't find any configuration difference between them
      Also tried changing the VHID.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this or has any ideas?
