SOLVED - Restoring 2.6.0-Dev after accidentally(!) parts of pfSense deleted
-
Dear pfSense Gurus!
Some non-smart SysAdmin in co-office destroy pfSense: as many of us ;) he playing with 3-rd party packages and today (Friday! as always that all happened at the end of the week when office need to complete certain tasks) when installing something for test purpose, looks like he delete pfSense.
(Please not ask me why he not pay attention on and remove vital flag from pfSense, I not agree to going deeply in his madness.
And of course, he not making config backup on external storage, and loose the recovery key... Aggrrr!!!!)So right now I sit near server, no ping on any interface, but looks like FreeBSD loading well, even the /cf/conf/config.xml exist and look undamaged and fresh.
Please, help me restore system as soon as possible.
P.S. And I promise, I care about this person not able to touch to anything more complicated than office coffee machine ;)

@sergei_shablovsky If the config file wasn't deleted it can be restored during installation.

Problem SOLVED: successfully restored system by choose Restore from existed config when installing from local USB-drive. Only few additional .pkg added manually.
(I forgot to say, that WANs are locked to NICs MACs, so at night ISP support team not able to make corrections, so I cannot able even to connect local notebook in office.)For Your smile at the end of week:
In cafe near the hotel, I buy coffee and 2 x really BIG (and very tasty) apple tart. For that, one girl from café stuff give me ability to download pfSense and create bootable USB-drive on her notebook ;) So, all are happy: office working, and I go to complete my morning tasty apple tart, I have phone num of pretty girl from cafe, tied, happy and go to sleep ;)
