Hue Bridge with pfSense
-
Hello Everyone
I just introduced pfSense into my network a few days ago and I have been having issues with my Hue Bridge being unable to connect to the network anymore. Here is my setup:
Xfinity Modem (setup in bridge mode) -> pfSense (Protecli box) -> 8 port switch. From the 8port switch I have my Google Nest wifi plugged in along with all my other LAN devices (including my Hue Bridge). The Hue Bridge is unable to get out to the internet. I originally thought it was Squid causing the issue so I removed the package and it still didnt work. I also enabled UPnP but that didnt seem to do anything as well. Pretty much out of options to try.
The Google Nest wifi is pretty basic so I am unable to disable the router functionality of it so its basically doing a double NAT (the Wifi network is on a different network than the LAN network). I can ping between the two networks but I am wondering if that is somehow causing an issue? Anyone have any ideas?

There would be nothing preventing it connecting out so I would look for it requiring incoming connections (which also seems unlikely). UPnP would definitely fail in a double NAT situation.
Can you test it without the Google Nest NAT?Steve
