      Hello Netgate community,

Is there an official way downgrade the software on my official Netgate branded firewall to a stable release of the pfSense OS for my new Netgate branded firewall?

I turned on development mode and I never thought that it would not let me downgrade back to a stable version. Stable version is still listed. Again, it will not let you click on it to install, once you select the stable version it just says this version is newer and has no install button. I have the upgraded "Max" version from Netgate with the very large hard drive. Storage space is not an issue as you know with the Max model it is beefy on storage. So how can I get that stable version back for when the development version has bugs?

If I want to return to the stable version how can I do that with a official Netgate branded firewall?

This is not the free version. This is a Netgate branded hardware with their software.

There is no way to downgrade in-place. You would have to reinstall the older version and restore a configuration made on the previous release as well.
