Hello. I have a Netgate SG-1100 running a very old version of pfsense, 2.4.4 to be precise, built in 2018. I see a new version is available but when i click the update button my browser window gets stuck on the "updating system" window. Am I able to download an image from the net and flash my 1100 with a newer version of pfsense? If I can't do that what is my best option to bring my appliance up to date? Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Brian

        I have a Netgate SG-1100

This is a ARM device. You have to contact Netgate to get a recovery-image for this device.

I would recommend a clean install from a version that old anyway. You can restore your config into the new install.

Open a ticket with us to get the recovery image: https://go.netgate.com/

@b_hayward I just updated a 3100 (also arm) from 2.4.4p3 to 21.05.2, yeah the built in update was being a bit flaky..

Got the image from netgate, did a clean install and restored my config from backup.. bing bang zoom, bob's your uncle!
