I've been running pfSense since February so I'm largely a newbie. Please consider my novice status before biting my head off. :)

Anyway…I've successfully added Snort but seem to be having trouble with HVAP. I've installed the package--and dashboard shows it "running"--but I'm not sure it's doing anything. I'm able to download "test" viruses (e.g. EICAR) to my LAN computers without any trouble and fear it's only a matter of time before a "real" virus slips through. What is wrong? Why didn't HVAP prevent the EICAR test virus from making it to my LAN?

I currently have HVAP running on the WAN side under the 'transparent' proxy mode.

Before test Havp in non transparent mode, then in transparent.
And look Syslog for Havp messages.

Also Havp transparent not worked for Bridge

By 'non-transparent mode' do you mean Standard mode?
