Multiple DynDNSes?
-
Hi!
Just wondering if there is any way to update more than one dynamic DNS?
I have both a Loopia- and a NO-IP-account and I would like to update them both when my IP changes.Thank you in advance.

Not until 2.0.

DNS-O-MATIC.com could do that for you.
It's from the same guys that bring you OpenDNS.com…and have a look at the Fit123 package.

The Fit123 package actually seemed like exactly what I need, but I just can't get it to write /usr/local/pkg/Fit123/ddns/ddns.php, no matter what I do to the file system.
"Warning: fopen(/usr/local/pkg/Fit123/ddns/ddns.php): failed to open stream: Read-only file system in /usr/local/pkg/fit123.inc on line 166 " is all I get. Thanks for the tip though. -
What version of pfSense? Embedded or full?

Version 1.2.3-RC3
built on Sun Sep 13 09:31:32 UTC 2009
Platform / Current Date nanobsd / Wed Sep 16 04:36:58 CEST 2009 -
As I understand it, a nanobsd based system is embedded which means writes to the file system are normally disabled. I guess Fit123 hasn't yet been updated to the new capabilities of embedded pfSense. (Before nanobasd, embedded pfSense didn't support packages.)

Have you tried running: /etc/rc.conf_mount_rw
before setting up Fit123?
Just a guess that the file system you are trying to write to is still read-only… it's still embedded.
