Anyway, using your search engine you will find mirrors in the web still keeping former versions.

@viragomann I would never recommending downloading some old version of pfsense from other than netgate.
I show azure in the market place, and show it as current 21.05.2
So is the OP trying to just install pfsense vs using the market place image? My understanding, which is very limited mind you is that FE, or the now called + versions were the only versions supported for Azure - if using some CE version you are installing yourself? Then yeah you might have some issues. Since I don't believe this was ever an actually supported configuration from netgate.
If you feel you at some point might need older versions, you really should keep your own archive vs grabbing from some 3rd party site. If you have a legit reason for an old version, you can contact netgate support.

Agree, but if you have no other option, I would search for a server I trust.
Sadly the official Netgate mirrors don't provide former versions anymore. But yeah, I keep ISOs of well functioning versions ISOs as well in my own archive.

True - but if you contact their support, and actually have a legit need, pretty sure they would provide it.. Not sure if installing onto azure without paying the azure subscription cost for pfsense would be valid reason ;)
Again I am not an expert on the azure or netgate support for azure, but I'm pretty sure that when this came out. The supported versions for azure were the ones in the marketplace.. And these versions were the FE (factory edition) vs the CE (community edition).. Now the FE is called +

I try following:
install local as vhd and upload as blob then create disk and
under disk say add vm then start pfsense
I get an error: "boot failure. Reboot and select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device"
Dosen't matter which version i used 2.5.x or 2.4.2 same error.
I startup before upload and login to pfsense without any issue. -
to startup automatically check point detected.
How to stop it. After start asking "
Do you want to revert to the previous automatic checkpoint...."
And if i select revert previous error occur. how to stop automatic checkpoint in vhd. -

From everything I understand about running pfsense in azure or aws that is not a supported method.
