It is a 10Ge interface and we ran a new good quality Cat 6A cable (60 feet) straight from the switch to the 0.1 interface, no wall jack no jack panel.

Rebooting the switch and pfsense did not help.

Interface goes down and up only at xx:05 and xx:35 of some random hours. That tells me it is not cabling issue. Something is taking down the link on some schedule, countdown, or something.

The NIC is emulex oce11102 and the switch is aruba S2500.

I am out of idea how to troubleshoot this one. Please help.

Is it actually random hours? But always exactly 30mins between events?

The logs look more like it's every 30mins exactly for all hours.

Check the crontab for scheduled processes. Install the cron package to make it easier.

On the pfSense side : swap WAN and LAN interface. Does the issue continue ? On the WAN now ? Or not ?
Swap port on switch, or even use another switch ?
Swap cable - even the best cable can be faulty from day one.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
