      Hi

      i just wonder if someone knows if NETGATE 7100 DUAL-PORT 10GBE FIBER SFP+ support 1 GB uplink on Cisco or Arrubia switches?

        @pema I'm using a 7100 with the listed (in the pfSense documentation) SFPs to Unifi switches at 1 GB with no issues at all.

          You mean the expansion NIC or the on-board SFP+ ports?

          To connect to a 1G link you often need to set the link speed to 1G. That option is usually not available on DAC cables so if you are connecting this way you should plan to use fiber.

                  Ok, well the advise remains the same if they are 1G switches. The ports on the expansion card are not limited like the on-board ports are though, you should be able to use any Intel compatible module.
