Im having issues restoring a config backup from a Netgate SG-4860 with 2.5.2CE to a Netgate 6100 with 21.05.2+. I know the interfaces are different but with previous restores I am directed to a page to reassign the interfaces. This is just failing with nothing restored or errors. While pinging the lan the interface drops for a second then comes back after confirming I wanted to restore the backup config but that's it. Ive tried to manually edit the xml to match the interface names and installed the same packages. Tried to just restore the interface config, but still nothing just rejects it with no error on why.

Is there somewhere I can see a log where the restore is failing? Something preventing a restore from CE to plus? I really do not want to manually rebuild this new firewall there is 10 vlans, 45 wireguard peers, lots of static assignments that will take days to replicate on the new hardware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With that many VLANs I would be editing the config manually as you did. What exactly did you do?

The SG-4860 is all igb NICs and the 6100 has none so they would all need to be changed.

If you want you can open a ticket with us and we can convert that config for you:
