-
I just scored two MXE-5402 fanless i5 , 4GB Ram , quad 1GB Intel boxes, for $100/pcs.
Going to be my backup boxes if sh.. happens.

It's a heavy bugger , made for rough environments.
And totally fanlessI5-4400E (A bit power hungry)
Came w. 4GB Ram , can take 2 x 8GB (DDR3L)1 x Intel 217 (EM0)
3 x Intel 210 (IGB0..2)Loads 2.5.2 wo probs
Will order Samsung EVO-870 250GB SSD's for them
Ether IF numbering is a bit weird.
Phys1 = EM0 - Wan
Phys2 = IGB0 = OPT1
Phys3 = IGB1 - Lan
Phys4 = IGB2 - OPT2Why was Lan put on IGB1 , and not IGB0 ??
Well ....
Now backup boxes are in place ..../Bingo

@bingo600
I think it's a Phoenix 3-pole DC plug
My guess this one
https://www.amazon.com/KF2EDG-5-08mm-Pluggable-Teminal-Connector/dp/B0932X9B24/PSU seems like this one (But CRAZY price)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/304598871843I'd go for a 24v PSU , and then the above Power sticks.

I picked up one of these used on EBay. MXE-5401, i7, 16GB, 64GB SSD, Intel wireless and Sierra 4g card (will never use, selling). Pulled the Intel since bad for Wi-Fi AP and added a HP AR5B125/AR9485 and a couple huge antennas and now have wireless bridged to LAN. I get an occasional beacon error, but seems stable. We'll see. PS pulls 7w and the Adlink pulls the balance of the 26w. Great fun for this retiree! It's what we do!

Added a second drive (500GB HDD) using Velcro (no bracket) and installed syslog-ng to archive logs off the SSD. Much searching and typing involved to get the drive on ZFS and usable. Wireless is pretty weak even with the big antennas, but that's cheap Amazon parts for ya. Maybe I need a different card. -
Well imho WiFi doesn't belong on a pfSense ... (well firewall)
So now you're logging to the internal 500GB ??
I'm syslogging to a remote Linux Syslog server , always liked that best.You have a neat system now ...
