I have a Netgate 3100 that is now a brick. Multiple power losses corrupted the file system. I tried to resurrect it with help from stuff I read on Internet, but could not. I do not have paid for support. Purchased 3100 from Netgate in 2018. I'd like to get the firmware/OS I had on before 2.4.x (don't remember exact). Where do I get it?

@penguin-nut contact support, they'll provide a firmware image (even without an active contract)

@heper I did open a ticket, but when it asked for a support contract, I was unsure I would hear back from them. Will see what happens. Thank you for responding.

For the benefit of others that may find and read this thread in the future --

A support contract with Netgate is NOT required in order to request a pfSense Plus firmware/software image to reload your Netgate appliance. Those images are free and can be requested by creating a ticket at the Netgate support site.

You DO need a paid support contract before Netgate will provide specific configuration and setup assistance or assist with troubleshooting issues, and for hardware failures after the warranty period expires.

The buzzword when opening a ticket for support is TAC lite.
              TAC lite is free support.

@bmeeks Correct. All Netgate-branded devices come with TAC Lite and that will always get you the latest software for your hardware that is still supported (note that some devices no longer are supported by our software such as the 32-bit ALIX boards).

You can open a ticket here: https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request
