I just upgraded my 6100 to 22.01. I noticed after there was a firmware update, so I updated it. The only problem is it still shows the update. The 6100 is on a remote network and I can not halt/unplug/replug. Thanks.

That's not a bug, that's the expected behaviour. The micro controller only updates it's code at power up so it must be power-cycled after writing the firmware.
The upgrade package shows that is the case before running the update.

It's not a big issue though you won't see any problems running the old code until you are able to cycle it.

Slight issue, I was planning on getting there today to halt/unplug/replug the 6100, however a tanker truck caught fire down the block and the fire department killed the power to the building. The fire did not reach the building where the router is. In any event, is it ok to just kill the power when a firmware update is pending. Also, the power may flicker a little when it is restored. Is this an issue also. Thanks.

Yes, that should be OK in terms if the firmware. It is already written, it does that when you run the upgrade, it's just that the microcontroller doesn't load it except at boot.
Of course a hard power down is never recommended if you can avoid it because of the potential to damage the filesystem but that wouldn't affect firmware.
