      Community,

I can't get any packages so OpenVPN will not work. I tried all the cli to manually update pkg but nothing. Come to find out I can't even ping any nslookup names. I can only ping IP addresses.

      /root: pkg-static clean -ay ; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade
pkg-static: Repository pfSense-core missing. 'pkg update' required
pkg-static: No package database installed. Nothing to do!
      Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue...
      pkg-static: https://packages.netgate.com/pfSense_v2_5_1_amd64-core/meta.txz: No address record
repository pfSense-core has no meta file, using default settings
      pkg-static: https://packages.netgate.com/pfSense_v2_5_1_amd64-core/packagesite.txz: No address record
      Unable to update repository pfSense-core

      [2.5.2-RELEASE][admin@fw-zeroonec.zeroonec.com]/root: pkg-static bootsrap -f
      pkg: unknown command: bootsrap

For more information on available commands and options see 'pkg help'.

      ping www.yahoo.com:
ping: cannot resolve www.yahoo.com: Host name lookup failure

      ping 1.1.1.1
      PING 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1): 56 data bytes
      64 bytes from 1.1.1.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=57 time=7.316 ms
      64 bytes from 1.1.1.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=8.102 ms

      nslookup 1.1.1.1
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

      nslookup www.yahoo.com
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

      So my questions are

      1. Is this an IPv6 issue because of the ;; if so I unchecked "Allow IPv6" in Networking under advanced settings.

      2. How do I get DNS to resolve on the WAN?

I have a static IP from ISP and LAN to WAN DNS works fine. Just can't update the firewall or pull down the OpenVPN Stuff to configure.

      Thanks,

      Technolust
