Can't get IP from Xfinity on WAN.
-
I had two Power outages this weekend. When modem reboots and PFSense asks for an IP Xfinity doesn't DHCPOFFER a new one for quite a long time. Yes I have rebooted the modem loads of times. I even shutdown my whole network. Then rebooted everything starting at the Xfinity modem first then working downstream. I have also tried unplugging the WAN Ethernet cable for a bit on the PFSense side. Even did a release (relinquish lease) and renew as well to no avail.

Try putting another computer in place of pfsense to see if it gets an address. If it doesn't, then there's a problem from Xfinity. If there were power outages, there might be some damage to their network.
With cable TV, there are nodes and line extenders that are AC powered. The AC from the utility goes to the nodes in your area, converted to DC and back to AC for distribution over the network to power the various pieces of equipment.

@jknott what's weird is when I take it out of bridge mode. The internet works just fine. But when I put it into bridge mode. The internet fails and I cannot get a DHCP IP for a very very long time. I've even tried forcing the port to be negotiated at 1 gig cuz I've heard that can cause issues still nothing. I really want bridge mode to work.

Try with another computer, to see where the problem is.

@jknott I put modem back in bridge mode and my laptop directly connected to modem get a WAN IP from Xfinity. But PFsense doesn't I take it out of bridge mode PFsense gets IP 10.0.0.146 but Bridge mode can't get external IP.

Do a packet capture.
Shut down pfsense
Disconnect the WAN cable
Restart pfsense
Run Packet Capture, filtering on DHCP
Reconnect the WAN cable
Let Packet Capture run for a couple of minutes and post the capture file here.
