      How do I verify that it is working? SMART diagnostic sees both drives. If there is a failure what shall I expect?

        A ZFS mirror?

        You can run `zpool status' at the command line and it will show you the status of the pool and the drives in it.
        In 22.01 the ZFS widget will show that on the dash.
