Hi I have established a NAT Port Forwarding to allow access to Port 44158 for my Helium Miner.

Test Port outlines it is open.

      However portchecker outlines its closed.

My Miner is still in Relay which seems to suggest that port isnt open. Which test to rely on in this circumstance?

      thanks in Advance

Well your first local test, just means that locally you can talk to that port. Doesn't mean you forwarded the port correctly, or that even the traffic is getting to your pfsense wan interface to be forwarded.

Or that your local firewall on that 5.148 box would allow traffic from an IP other than something on its own network, etc.

Can you post up your port forward and firewall wan rules, do you have any rules in floating, etc.

@johnpoz Cheers thought that might be the case, with the test being performed on the internal side of the network.

@zzkazu your blocking like the whole planet there with your floating rules.. I see triggers on some of those rules, but none on your wan rule for port forwarding.

How do you know the source of the traffic to hit your miner port is not from any of this lists your blocking?

@johnpoz Its pfBlockerNG that is configuring all of that. Yes just as you responded I disabled pfBlockerNG and it fixed the problem.

Thanks heaps for the helping out.

No pfblocker does not do that out of the box - you would of told it to do that. I have pfblocker running and it doesn't create those. pfblocker only creates the rules or aliases you want it to do..

If you only want to allow traffic from one region you should use that alias as the source is the allow firewall rule rather then block rules for everything else.

@johnpoz Sorry you are correct. I was using a setup outlined by "Lawrence Systems" on you tube. I'll need to muck around a bit to progressively re-configure pfblocker to get both to work together.

He says to block the whole planet - normally they put out pretty good info.. I would be disappointed if they said to setup what you had to be honest..
