You are just trying to remove the screw from the stand-off? There's no drive in it currently?

@stephenw10 that is correct. The m.2 screw is stuck and no drive in it.

Hmm, so you are able to remove the stand-off completely but even with it not attached to the board it's still not possible to unscrew it?
I have seen some that were quite difficult to unscrew but not, yet, one that actually couldn't be.

There's nothing special about it though. Any m.2 stand-off should work there.

@morno I had that issue with one of mine when doing an m.2 upgrade. I held the standoff with a needle-nose (be careful not to hit the board anywhere with it) and removed the backing screw.
Then I moved it where I wanted it and put it back in place.

@stephenw10 i will take the m.2 to work and see if i can get the screw lose. the hight of the m.2 standoff seems not standard do you think you can find one that might fit? and i have only seen m.2 standoffs with a built in screw and not one that can get screwed into.

@rcoleman-netgate i will try and get it loose tomorrow at work i have taken out the m.2 standoff as i stated to Steptemw10 above.

will post again tomorrow if it is sucessful. but it would be good to know what kind of standoffs you guys use so we can get the same or close to same :)
