      Hi,

Is there any way to get more debug Information for DHCPv6 over PPPoE?

I'd like to know which, and if which size of a IPv6 prefix I got dynamically allocated from my provider (Versatel Germany), but I cannot see that anywhere in the ppp logs.

Sadly, with consumer connections in germany you only get a dynamic IPv6 IP + Prefix which changes every reconnect (which is also sadly every 24 hours regarding to Versatel...)

Thanks a lot for your help.

      Cheers

If you don't need a consistent address for remote access, you can use ULA so that your local device addresses don't change.

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

Yes, I know, that is also what I am doing, but I don't get it what it has to do with debugging informations of my DHCPv6 requests over ppp?

I wanna see whats going on and try some things out, without messing around with a test network and see the impact - I'd like to see what the DHCPv6 server of my provider is offerig me and what optins are granted and which are note.

          Cheers

My comment was in reference to your complaint about changing prefixes only. I have no experience with using pfsense on PPPoE.

@4920441-0 Does tcpdump show you anything? That's where I typically begin...
