I am preparing to deploy upgrade from a SG-4860 to a 6100-S. While preparing for the migration, I loaded the configuration file from the SG-4860 to the 6100-S. Since I uploaded the configuration file to the 6100, I can no longer assess the 6100 interface by ether the GUI (via web browser) or serial cable connection. When I try to connect via the serial cable, I do not land in the menu page, I land in a page asking me to set up VLAN. When I try to connect to GUI via web browser, I am not able to reach the IP address. I need a fix to gain access or reset the 6100 back to factory default.

You could just assign the interfaces correctly at that point.

To reach the console menu just assign the minimum required interfaces. So answer 'n' to vlans then set WAN as ix3 and LAN as igc1.

Then you can finish booting and reset the config if you need to.

        Is your 4860 config complex?
